Things your children should do after meal

This exercise helps facilitate the process of digestion. Walking helps to prevent a lot of stomach upset problems including indigestion and heartburn. Medical research have found that if you walk just 100 steps after meal you will notice a huge improvement in your overall wellbeing

Teeth Brushing:

It is important to properly guild your children to brush their teeth after meal but not immediately. They should wait for 20-30 minutes before brushing. It is recommended to always guild your children to brush their teeth before going to bed, this is according to American Dental Association.

Drink warm water:

The body needs water to aid digestion. Drinking warm water after meal helps ease digestion of food. Avoid drinking too much water as it can impair digestion.

It is advisable to drink a glass of warm water 30 minutes before meal. This glass of water will keep your body satiated and prevent overheating. You can sip a little water during your meal to help swallow your food.

After dinner, wait for at least one hour and then drink a glass of warm water. This will help the body absorb nutrient when digestion takes place.

Resting:


After every meal, it is normal to feel heavy even as a child. This is why your children should rest before doing anything. Gisting with them after a meal is the best form of rest. It is important to sit up after a meal at least for 20 minutes. This will help your body feel more relaxed while digestion takes place.

It is important to note that laying down after a meal is not advisable for anyone especially chidren. This is because it slows down the process of digestion. It may also make your children feel bloated.
